Thanet Foodlink remains open for business during these difficult days and we expect that our services will be needed more than ever as people struggle to maintain normal income streams and feed their children with the school holidays being extended.
Distribution of food parcels is from St Paul's Church Cliftonville on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10.30 - 12 noon. You will still need collect a voucher from the Edgar Road church entrance to obtain a food parcel (unless you have one from another agency) but distribution will be dealt with with minimal personal contact.
Due to the recent panic buying, the items we normally have plenty of are the very ones that are scarce. Our supplies of items such as , pasta sauces, tinned food, soups, long life milk, tea bags and coffee will soon run out. If you can spare any please do drop them off at our warehouse in Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg St, Margate CT9 4JJ behind B&Q. There is a box for donations that is just inside the entrance to Global Generation Church offices (7.30am-5pm) if the warehouse is closed.
Our volunteers will continue to do what they can to keep the service running.
At this time we are not able to take on new volunteers, if this changes we will put out a request.
Thanks for your support.
